Amalfi Outfit

August 15, 2016

Picked up this in the Zara sale whilst on holiday and I’m so glad I did. It was ridiculously hot in Amalfi and after my legs fell victim to tiger mosquitoes, I decided I wanted to cover up a bit, and this dress ticked all the boxes! Amalfi is a beautiful town, with many weaving alleys filled with independent shops to explore (well worth visiting) as well as restaurants to visit, all of whom specialise in fish and dishes which include the Amalfitan lemon, so of course, the yellow in the dress made it perfect for exploring the town. It’s floating, dreamy sleeves and back-straps cross over detailing gave the dress a fairy-like feel, and the lightweight material meant I never overheated- even when walking under the glaring sun in temperatures of 35°. I decided to keep the look simple and channel the fairy, flower-child vibes by popping my hair into a low-bun (also very practical) and wearing simple T-bar sandals.
