Post heatwave and we're experiencing cooler weather in London- something I'm slightly happy about, as I was absolutely MELTING at one point!
This cooler weather also meant however, that I wasn't able to put on the floaty and airy clothes I've been used to wearing for the past week. The dreary and cloudy weather made me steer away from colour, and so I decided to go for a more grungy, moody look; it was (faux) leather weather!
To match the dull weather, I decided that I wanted to go for a monochromatic palette. This doesn't mean boring and dull though! Monochroming has always been chic, but by playing on textures and stacking on jewellery or accessories, you can update your monochrome look. Click on the gallery for how I did this!
These ZARA leather look trousers were the star of this outfit! Black is always a safe option when it comes to leather, especially when it's a soft and muted leather such as the one used for these. The small details to these trousers such as the zips and the corrugated style padding give them a biker like feel, screaming grungy coolness. Although they fit quite well around the waist, I added the belt for extra security and because the belt gave another subtle twist to the outfit via a western feel. If you wanted to go for leather that was more out there, try out vinyl trousers or baggier leather trousers in either a straight leg or culotte fit, both of which would look equally good paired with a t-shirt like this one.
These trousers were insanely comfortable, and exactly what I needed on this chillier summers day in London, so expect to see them a lot more often on here!
